The Board of Directors is responsible for the implementation of and adherence to this Sustainability Policy. It defines the minimum standards AMCI employees must comply with. Breaches of the Sustainability Policy shall be reported to the Board of Directors.

Compliance
Every AMCI employee must comply with or exceed applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies.

We shall be open and honest in communicating with our stakeholders in our continual commitment to sustainable corporate development.

We shall seek to avoid conflicts of interest where possible and to carefully manage conflicts of interest in an appropriate manner, if their avoidance is not possible.

We shall seek to ensure a high level of business performance while minimizing and effectively managing risk, ensuring that we uphold the values of honesty, partnership, and fairness in all our stakeholder relationships.

Our contracts shall clearly set out the agreed terms, conditions and the basis of our relationship with stakeholders, and we shall operate in a way that safeguards against unfair business practices.

We shall register and where possible resolve stakeholder complaints in a timely and appropriate manner.

Social Responsibility
We shall respect human rights and provide safeguards to ensure that all employees of whatever nationality, ethnic origin, religious belief or gender are treated with respect and without sexual, physical or mental harassment.

We shall not employ, nor cause to be employed, forced or child labor.

We shall provide and strive to maintain a clean, healthy and safe working environment for all of our people.

We shall offer clear and fair terms of employment to our employees and adhere to fair and transparent remuneration principles. We shall provide adequate resources to enable our employees’ continual development.

We shall encourage dialogue with the local communities in which we operate for mutual benefit, and provide support by charitable contributions.

We shall encourage and support our employees to help local community organizations and to engage in eligible charitable, cultural or educational activities.

We shall support the development of local businesses and use local people and other local resources where possible.

We shall seek to identify, evaluate and monitor environmental risks and aim at the reduction of environmental impacts.

We shall respect the rights and interests of the communities in which we operate and communicate effectively and openly with communities, regulators and other stakeholders.

We shall develop a positive culture in which we are responsible and accountable for our activities and their environmental impact.
